Series documents the assistance of the State Reconstruction Advisory Board to governmental entities in the application for grants from the Reconstruction Finance Corporation to provide local public works. Most of the recipients were cities and counties, however, some state agencies also applied. Records include correspondence, maps, tables, graphs, proposals, publications, reports, minutes, and blueprint plans. topics include schools, waterworks, sewage plants, highways, flood control, irrigation, airports, seawalls, armories, city halls, port facilities, light and power, and waterfront development. Most of the records refer to 1933, however, some data dates to 1860.
